Current Role

I build teams and systems that turn frontier AI into products people use every day. As Senior Engineering Manager for AI Retrieval at Asana, I lead the RAG platform that powers our flagship AI features – delivering faster answers, lower cost, and increased traffic, all while keeping the technology invisible to end users.

Career Highlights

I began my career in politics, including work on the digital team for the Obama-Biden Transition Project, where I helped launch the new WhiteHouse.gov as part of the incoming administration’s commitment to open government. From there, I joined Weber Shandwick, helping public- and private-sector clients distill complex ideas into clear, compelling digital strategies.

In 2015, I shifted to engineering full time – first at Shift, a car marketplace startup, where I was engineer #9 and led deployment of a recommendation engine that increased conversion by 25%. Since 2019, I’ve been at Asana, where I now lead the AI Retrieval team. I helped scale our RAG platform from early experimentation to a unified layer that supports every AI feature in the product.
